In their 2nd game in less than 24-hours, the Lady Mustangs took on the Knights of VTC in a YSCC matchup. Early foul trouble again plagued CM in the first half, but their tempo, pressure, and depth was simply too much for VTC.
Ten Lady Mustangs found the scoring column in the first half, including Gabby Foy with 14, Lexi Larson with 9, and Hannah Champagne and Maggie McConkey with 7 a piece. At the break, CM led 56-32.
In the 2nd half CM continued to push the tempo, and blew the game open. Foy finished with a game-high 26 points, followed by Susie French with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Hannah Champagne finished with a career-high 15 points and Lexi Larson struck from deep, 3-times and finished with 13 points. Jasmine Ramos played a great floor game, finishing with 8 points and 9 rebounds.
Paige Wells led VTC with 20 points and 18 rebounds.
With the win the Lady Mustangs improve to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the Yankee Conference. CM is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to UMaine-Augusta to take on the Lady Moose in a 6:00pm game.
