A complete team effort led the Lady Mustangs to a non-conference win over Bristol CC on Saturday. In their last game before Thanksgiving break, CM used their pressure defense and balanced scoring to build an early lead and coast to the 109-78 win.
Laura Soohey (Bremen, ME) led the Last Mustangs with a career-high 26 points while shooting 11-14 from the field (78.6%). Susie French (Portsmouth, NH) continued her hot streak with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals.
Three Lady Mustangs came off the bench and tallied double-figures in the scoring column. Samantha Bruce finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds, Jaime Swart scored 12 points, and Shaila Cole netted 11 points. Overall, CM shot 52.3% from the floor.
Ashley Tillman led Bristol CC with 33 points off of 11-24 shooting.
With the win CM improves to 9-1 overall, and stays at 5-0 in the YSCC. The Lady Mustangs have some time-off before they are back in action on December 7th when they travel to UMaine-Machias to take on the Lady Clippers.
