With just over a minute left in the first half, the Lady Mustangs found themselves down 6 with Susie French and Maggie McConkey on the bench in foul trouble. As the first half buzzer sounded, the score was tied and the momentum had permanently swung in favor of CM.
Gabby Foy struck from deep 5 times, leading 4 other Lady Mustangs in double-figures. Foy finished with a game-high 26 points, followed by Laura Soohey who dropped in 15 points and ripped down a career-high and school-record 21 rebounds. Lexi Larson connected from deep twice to finish with 14 points and Maggie McConkey played stingy defense and finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds.
Limited to just 19 minutes, Susie French played a huge role for the Lady Mustangs, finishing with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Jasmine Ramos played phenomenal defense and made a few game-changing hustle plays.
Victoria Nguyen led the Bulldogs with 20 points.
With the win, CM improves to 16-1 overall, riding a 14-game win streak. The Lady Mustangs are back in action Wednesday, when they host YSCC foe, Eastern Maine Community College.
