Depth Leads CM in Rout of UMaine-Machias

CM improved to 19-1 overall and 11-0 in the YSCC with a 93-43 dismantling of UMaine-Machias.  Four Lady Mustangs scored in double-figured, led by Samantha Bruce (Madison, ME) who came off the bench to tally 18 points - including four 3's.

Playing just 18 minutes, Susie French (Greenland, NH) scored 15 points and collected 5 steals.  Maggie McConkey (Fryeburg, ME) played a great all-around floor game, finishing with 12 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Laura Soohey (Bremen, ME) collected another double-double, finishing with 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Six minutes into the first half, the Clippers cut a 14-point lead down to just 6.  Fresh legs and relentless pressure defense helped the Lady Mustangs baloon the lead to over 20-points in just over 2-minutes.  Lexi Larson (Milo, ME) and Hannah Champagne (Lisbon, NH) provided huge sparks for the CM defense, which in return, ignited the offense.

Randi deWitt lead the Clippers with 18 points.

The Lady Mustangs have now won 17 consecutive games, and will host Unity College on Tuesday.
