Lady Mustangs Bounce Back, Defeat St. Lawrence

Less than 24 hours after their season opening loss, the Lady Mustangs found themselves down 15 with 7.5 minutes to go in the first half.  CM was able to cut the lead to just 4 points at the half, behind three 3's from Gabby Foy (Wilton, ME) and 6 first-half points off the bench from Alex Rowe (South Paris, ME). 

Less than a minute into the 2nd half, the Lady Mustangs tied the game for the first time since early in the first half.  Freshman, Ella Montminy (Center Barnstead, NH), played another great game off the bench for the Mustangs, coming up with numerous hustle plays.  Corrie Kinder (North Haverhill, NH) tallied 10 points, pulled down 8 rebounds (6 offensive), dished out 5 assists and had 4 steals.  Freshman, Kat Styles (Franklin, NH) hit for 11 points, while Foy and Rowe finished with 18 and 10 points respectively.  Foy also tallied 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals, while Laura Soohey (Bremen, ME) finished with a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with her 9 points. 

Cegep Champlain St. Lawrence was led by Florence Dallaire (18 points, 11 rebounds), Laurence Pepin (10 points, 11 rebounds), and Karine Demeule (15 points, 10 assists).

With the win the Lady Mustangs improve to 1-1 on the year, and will travel to Daniel Webster College on Friday, November 1st for an exhibition game vs. the NCAA DIII school.
