Women's Basketball lands top New Hampshire prospect

Auburn, ME - Jenny Schlim (Nottingham, NH), a 6-foot versatile All-State selection from Coe-Brown Northwood Academy has committed to play basketball for the Lady Mustangs this fall.  Schlim just finished out a stellar high school career, where she helped lead the Bears to the Division II State Championship and an undefeated, 22-0 record.

Schlim racked up a long list of individual accolades during her career including, Queen of New Hampshire Basketball Runner-Up, 2015 Concord Monitor Girls Basketball Player of the Year, 2014 Foster's Daily Democrat Girls Basketball Player of the Year, 1st Team All-State her junior and senior year, 2nd Team All-State as a sophomore, USA Today ALL-USA NH 1st Team, and named to the Foster's Daily Democrat Dream Team 3 times.

Head Coach, Andrew Morong, "It's really hard to define Jenny's position on the basketball court, because she can legitimately play all five spots.  She is intense and extremely competitive, but doesn't take herself too seriously, which says a lot about her character.  She has a passion and enthusiasm for basketball that is absolutely refreshing.  There is no doubt in my mind that she has all of the tools necessary to make an immediate impact next season."

He continued, "She knows how to win, and she knows how to play under pressure as well.  Jenny dealt with extremely high individual and team expectations this year, and she always found a way to get the job done, all while being one of the more selfless players we've ever recruited."

According to Schlim, "I chose CM because I was looking for a good school to start my college career, both academically and athletically.  I needed a place where I could start to build myself up in preparation for a future at a larger school.  CMCC seemed like the perfect place to do that, in both aspects.  I loved the on-campus housing, and how close the dorms are to the gym, which will be my second home.  I know I fit in well with the style of play as I have always been a fast-break, up-tempo player.  I am really excited for this opportunity, and I think I can bring a lot of passion to the team.  My versatility is a plus, so I am ready to play wherever Coach Morong needs me."

Schlim joins former Dover HS standout and AAU teammate, Abby Tilton, in a loaded 2015 recruiting class for the Lady Mustangs.
