Bethel, ME - Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, has announced the commitment of Hayley Peterson, a 5'7" guard from Telstar Regional High School in Bethel, ME.  Peterson is a member of the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America at Telstar, and will study Criminal Justice at CMCC.  Captain of her team this year, Peterson is also an honor roll student who also participates in Skills USA.

According to Coach Morong, "Hayley is a physically strong guard who can really run the floor.  I think with the proper development in the offseason she will be able to make an impact for us.  We think she shows a lot of upside and clearly hasn't even scratched the surface yet.  She is also a natural leader and a great teammate.  Hayley will fit in perfectly with that we do here at CM."

Peterson on her decision, "I chose to attend CM because it is a great school with a great Criminal Justice program.  I am excited about the opportunity to play against tough competition every day in practice.  It is going to be a huge step up for me, but I think the higher intensity and faster pace will really suit me as a player."
