Lady Mustangs Cage Owls

Presque Isle, ME - Stifling defense and unselfish play helped CM cruise to an easy 90-40 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls.  The Lady Mustangs assisted on 26 of their 32 field goals, while forcing 32 turnovers.  CM jumped out to a 52-17 halftime lead and coasted the rest of the way.

Nicole Hamblin (Fayette, ME) recorded her first career triple-double, finishing with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 13 assists.  Seve Deery-Deraps (Rangeley, ME) led the way in the scoring column once again, tallying 19 points while hitting four 3's.  Allie Ablondi (Thompson, CT) hit a pair of 3's, finishing with 13 points, and Alex Rowe (South Paris, ME) put in 12 points on 5-8 shooting.

Overall, CM shot 50.8% from the floor, and 45% from the 3-point line.  Their relentless pressure came away with 22 steals, 8 blocks, and held UMPI to just 27% from the floor.

Frankie Lally (Auburn, ME) played a great floor game for the Lady Mustangs, hitting for 9 points, a career-high 15 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Brianna Losee led the Owls with 11 points.

With the win the Lady Mustangs improve to 16-7 on the year, and will face Unity College this Wednesday, February 3rd in a a YSCC matchup.
