Women's Basketball sweeps Can-Am Tournament

Auburn, ME - Eighteen hours after their opening season win, the Lady Mustangs were back in action taking on Champlain - St. Lawrence in the final game of the 22nd Annual Can-Am Tournament.  CM scored on the opening possession of the game, and lead for the entire 40-minutes, taming the Lions by a final score of 76-62.

Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) led the way with another stellar effort.  Reynolds finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 steals to finish with her first career double-double.  Taylor Esty (Rangeley, ME) played great off the bench, tallying 12 points on 4 of 4 shooting.  Jenny Schlim (Nottingham, NH) was the third Lady Mustang in double figures, finishing with 11 points and 5 steals.

CM's bench wore out the opposition with 11 players logging double-digit minutes.  The Mustangs bench outscores the Lions bench by a 28-13 margin, and pushed the lead to as much as 21 points with just 3-mintues to play.

With the win CM improves to 2-0 and will be back in action next Saturday when they host traditional USCAA power, Berkeley College (NY).  The last time these 2 squads met was in the USCAA National Semi-final in 2014, with CM edging Berkeley, 56-48.
