Lady Mustangs crush Berkeley (NY)

Auburn, ME - CM used pressure defense to jump out to an early lead and then their depth coast to an easy win over the Knights of Berkeley College (NY).  The Lady Mustangs started off hot with 3's from Tianna Harriman (Auburn, ME) and Nicole Hamblin (Fayette, ME) and found themselves up 17-2, just 3-minutes into the game.

Rotating 5 subs in at a time, CM was able to spread around the playing time and scoring.  All 15 suited players played double-digit minutes, with everyone finding the scoring column.  Jenny Schlim (Nottingham, NH) scored a game-high 16 points to go along with 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Jane Lester (Queensland, Austrailia) poured in a career-high 12 points, while Allie Ablondie (Thompson, CT) and Krinstina Blais (Lewiston, ME) each finished with 11 points.  Taylor Esty (Rangeley, ME) and Samantha Burke (Jefferson, ME) each had a game-high 9 rebounds.

As a team, the Lady Mustangs sniped 29 steals, dished out 28 assists, and had a rebounding margin of +37.

Ashley Duplan and Chantel Owens ech scored 8 points to lead the Knights.

With the win CM improves to 3-0 overall, and will play their first Yankee Conference game this Thursday, November 3rd, vs. Unity College.  The game will take place in Kirk Hall at 6:00pm.
