Lady Mustangs grind out win over VTC

Auburn, ME - It wasn't the prettiest of games, but once again CM used their pressure defense to separate themselves from Vermont Tech, pulling away with the 96-44 win.  Twelve players logging double-digit minutes, and constant pressure, was too much for the visiting Knights.

In just 16-mintues, Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) tallied 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 steals.  Jenny Schlim (Nottingham, NH) scored 10 points, while Seve Deery-Deraps connected on three 3's, and finished with 13 points off the bench.  Jane Lester (Bundaberg, Australia) contributed 9 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Mustangs assisted on 30 of their 40 made field goals, with Nicole Hamblin (Fayette, ME) leading the way with 7 - giving her 15 in the last 2 games.

Doireanna Chesborough led the Knights with 12 points.

With the win CM improves to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the Yankee Conference.  The Lady Mustangs will be back in action on Thursday, when they travel to Augusta for their first road contest of the season.  They will take on the Lady Moose of UMaine-Augusta at 6:00pm at the Augusta Civic Center.
