Women's Basketball overcomes poor shooting, defeats St. Joseph's (VT)

Auburn, ME - Poor shooting and many unforced turnovers plagued the Lady Mustangs throughout the first three quarters of the game.  Up only 10 points going into the 4th quarters, CM rattled through a scoring outburst, pouring in 31 points during the final quarter to pull away for the 82-62 victory.

Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) shot only 5-15, but still managed 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals for yet another strong performance.  Kristina Blais (Lewiston, ME) tallied 13 points off the bench, while Jenny Schlim (Nottingham, NH) connected on three of four 3's to finish with 12 points.

Nicole Hamblin (Fayette, ME) scored 7 points, dished out 7 assists, and recorded 3 steals and zero turnovers in a solid floor game.  Eraleena Gethers-Hairston (Auburn, ME) flirted with a double-double, finishing with 9 points and 9 rebounds.

Jacobie Maupin-Alexa scored a game-high 19 points, while Alexius Brooks ripped down a game-high 18 rebounds to pace the Fighting Saints.

With the win CM improves to 10-0 on the year and 4-0 in the Yankee Conference.  They will be back in action on Saturday, December 3rd, when they host Dean College.
