Lady Mustangs rout Bobcats

Auburn, ME - Twelve players found the scoring column, and all 15 players who suited up played double-digit minutes on the way to a 95-18 victory over Paul Smith's College (NY).  Without a single Lady Mustang playing more than 18-minutes and two starters out for the game, the scoring was spread out with overall contribution from everyone who saw the floor.

Jane Lester (Bundaberg, Australia) led CM with 17 points, while Samantha Burke (Jefferson, ME) and Tianna Harriman (Auburn, ME) each tallied 14 points.  Holly Decourcey (Billerica, MA) scored in double figures for the 2nd straight game, finishing with 10 points.

Seve Deery-Deraps (Rangeley, ME) and Rylee Moore (Livermore, ME) each connected for 8 points.  Eraleena Gethers-Hairston (Auburn, ME) ripped down a game-high 9 rebounds.

CM won the battle on the boards with a +38 rebounding advantage including 29 offensice rebounds which led to 22 second chance points.  They also dished out a season-high 26 assists on 42 made field goals, led by Harriman who had 5 dimes.

According to Head Coach, Andrew Morong, "Regardless of what the scoreboard says we emphasize playing to a certain standard, and I think over the last two games we've done that quite well.  Getting contributions from everyone is great to see, and having the bench stay so engaged in a lopsided game is encouraging."

Alexis Best led the Bobcats with 9 points.

With the win CM improves to 13-0 overall and 6-0 in the Yankee Conference.  On Wednesday the Lady Mustangs will host Southern Maine Community College, who is also undefeated, at 6:00pm.
