Lady Mustangs shake off rust, improve to 15-0

Warwick, RI - After a 3.5 week layoff, the Lady Mustangs were back in action to take on the Knights of CCRI.  Grinding their way through a season high 31 turnovers, only shooting 50% from the foul line, and sickness, CM managed to build an early 10-2 lead on their way to a 77-64 triumph.

Leading the way was Eraleena Gethers-Hairston (Auburn, ME) who finished with a monstrous double-double of a team-high 16 points and game-high 12 rebounds.  Tianna Harriman (Auburn, ME) connected on 4 treys, and finished with 14 points and a team-high 6 assists.  Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) filled the stat sheet once again, this time with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.

Mikayla Yanez (Lisbon, ME) came off the bench to take 2 offensive fouls.  Seve Deery-Deraps (Rangeley, ME) played a great 2nd half, finishing with 9 points and 5 rebounds.  Samantha Burke (Jefferson, ME) and Ellie Harrington (Hampshire, UK) each finished with 8 points.  The Lady Mustang bench contributed 32 points.

Kelsey Hernandez played a terrific game for the Knights, finishing with a game-high 27 points, which included her connecting on three 3's and 11 of 12 foul shots.

Now at 15-0, the Lady Mustangs travel to Dean College for what should be in intense showdown with the Bulldogs.  Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00pm Thursday.
