Lady Mustangs cage Herons
Auburn, ME – All 13 players who suited up for the Lady Mustangs tonight played double-digit minutes, with 12 of them finding the scoring column in a 102-29 rout of Great Bay CC.  CM jumped out to a 36-4 1st quarter lead, and never looked back.

Eraleena Gethers-Hairston (Auburn, ME) dominated paint to the tune of 29 points, 16 rebounds, and 2 assists in just 18-mintues of play.  In the last 2 games, Gethers-Hairston has ripped down a combined 34 rebounds.  Jane Lester (Bundaberg, Australia) finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds, while Nicole Hamblin (Fayette, ME), Tianna Harriman (Auburn, ME), Rylee Moore (Livermore, ME), Seve Deery-Deraps (Rangeley, ME), and Samantha Burke (Jefferson, ME) each tallied 8 points.  Harriman also dished out a game-high 8 assists.

According to Coach Morong, "This was a great team win because everyone who went into the game made an immediate positive impact.  We were crashing the boards, had our hands in the passing lanes, and diving on the floor for loose balls, regardless of what the scoreboard said.  I am very proud of our effort this evening, and I hope the top-to-bottom effort is a sign of things to come."

CM outscored the visitors 68-10 in the paint, tallied 45 bench points, and held a +34 rebounding advantage.

Tasha Jarosz led the Herons with 9 points.

With the win CM improves to 20-1 overall, and will be back in action Friday, when they travel to Amherst, MA to take one Hampshire College.
