Women's Basketball dominant in win over Vermont Tech

Randolph, VT - The Lady Mustangs continued their dominant play, rushing out to a 26-point lead, and never looking back, defeating the Knights of VTC, 86-20.  The winners of 11-straight, CM dismantled Vermont Tech in every facet of the game, out-rebounding the host 48-22 (+26), sniping 31 steals, forcing 43 turnovers, and dishing out 26 assists on 34 made baskets.

Natalie Thurber had her 2nd straight dominant performance.  This time around, Thurber scored 20 first half points in just 7 minutes of play, finishing the game with 23 points and 4 assists, while connecting on 6 threes.  Jordyn Reynolds recorded an 11 points, 11 rebound double-double, while Alex Bessey scored 11 points with a game high 8 steals.

Once again all 14 Lady Mustangs who suited up played at least 11-minutes, while 13 of them found the scoring column.  Jane Lester recorded 10 rebounds off the bench, while Kristen Huntress recorded a season-high 7 assists.

Mariah Rilling led the Knights with 8 points.

With the win CM improves to 13-1 overall and a perfect 9-0 in conference play.  They will be back in action on Wednesday, when they travel to South Portland to take on Southern Maine Community College in the final game of the 1st semester.  Tip-off will be at 6:00pm.
