As usual, the season will kick off with the annual Can-Am Tournament, with CM hosting the University of New Brunswick – St. John (Saturday, October 27th) and Champlain – St. Lawrence (Sunday, October 28th).

In addition to their Canadian opponents, the non-conference slate is full of USCAA foes, and two NCAA DIII exhibition games. On Saturday, November 3rd, CM will travel to Lyndon, VT to take on North Vermont University Lyndon (formerly Lyndon State College) in their first NCAAA DIII exhibition game of the season. Their second NCAA DIII exhibition will be on Monday, November 12th in Bangor, ME against the three time defending NAC Tournament Champions, Husson University.

The out of conference schedule is made up of opponents including home-and-home series with the Fighting Saints of College of St. Joseph (VT) and Bengals of UMaine-Fort Kent. The Bengals are coming off a USCAA DI National Tournament appearance where they went 1-1 in Uniontown, PA. The Lady Mustangs will take two trips to Albany, NY this winter. The first one, on November 30th, to take on the Albany College of Pharmacy of Health Sciences for the second straight year. The Panthers won the USCAA DII National Championship in 2012 and finished at National Runner-Up in 2016. The second trip to Albany, will take place at ACPHS but against Villa Maria College (Buffalo, NY), which will be one of the premier USCAA DII regular season matchups for the entire league. The Vikings have reached the USCAA DII National Semifinal in each of the last two years and return the USCAA DII National Player of the Year.

CM will also travel to Navy Prep this year, a team who dealt the Mustangs their only regular season loss just a year ago. Additionally, CM will be hosting Central Penn College, then traveling to Scranton, PA to take on Penn State Scranton. Both schools from Pennsylvania are USCAA members.

The Yankee Small College Conference schedule will be made up of 2 games apiece against, Southern Maine CC, UMaine-Augusta, NHTI, UMaine-Machias, Paul Smith's (NY), Vermont Tech, Hampshire College (MA), and Unity College.

According Coach Morong, "We think our schedule will prepare us to be playing our best basketball in February, and hopefully in March as well. We are playing a wide variety of teams, some of which we've never played, or at least haven't seen in a while, which is exciting. We have been working diligently in the off-season, and look forward to the challenges ahead."
