Lady Mustangs trap Bobcats

Auburn, ME - In their first home game since November 14th, CM wasted no time putting away the Bobcats of Paul Smith's College (NY) in a YSCC match-up. The Lady Mustangs had a monstrous first quarter, scoring a season-high 34 points while holding the Bobcats to just 6. CM put up at least 20 points in each quarter, winning 102-31.

Six Mustangs scored in double-figures including Ahna McCusker with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Patricia Vazquez Diaz netted 13 points, while Brooke Reynolds tallied 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Natalie Thurber came off the bench to drain 11 points while Eraleena Gethers-Hairston and Kristen Huntress each scored 10 points.

Rebecca Davila dished out a game-high 7 assists. Overall, the Mustangs dished out 32 assists and out-rebounded Paul Smith's by +25 while shooting 50% from the floor.

Nyasia Carroll-Jackson led the Bobcats with 15 points on 5-19 shooting.

With the win the Lady Mustangs improve to 10-1 overall and 6-0 in the Yankee Conference. They will be back in action tomorrow when they head to UMaine-Machias for a big conference match-up.
