Tool Time! Lady Mustangs win 50th straight YSCC game, clinch Regular Season Championship

Auburn, ME - Freshman Elena Tool (Tilburg, Netherlands) had herself a night! Scoring a career-high 33 points on 15-20 shooting (75%), and pulling down 14 rebounds, Tool paced the short-handed Lady Mustangs past Unity College, 105-23.

Tool scored at least 8 points in each quarter, while falling a little short of a triple-double with 6 assists. Natalie Thurber (Wells, ME) finished with 18 points, while Brianna Mulherin (Wales, ME) hit for 16. Rebecca Davila (El Paso, TX) went for 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Eraleena Gethers-Hairston (Auburn, ME) ripped down a double-double of her own with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Sierra Wallace (Phippsburg, ME) and Patricia Vazquez Diaz (Tenerife, Spain) scored 9 and 8 points respectively, with Vazquez pulling down 12 rebounds.

Overall the Mustangs shot 50.6% from the field while dishing out 31 assists.

With the win, the Mustangs not only improved to 21-2 overall and 14-0 in the YSCC, but they also clinched their 3rd straight Yankee Conference Regular Season Championship, and won their 50th straight game against a YSCC opponent. They will be back in action Friday night, as they host Hampshire College at 5:00pm.
