Auburn, ME - The brutal pace and relentless defense of the Lady Mustangs was too much for UMaine-Machias to handle in the first half, as CM jumped out to a 54-28 half time lead and never looked back. Despite interior foul trouble, the Lady Mustangs worked their way through the Machias 2-3 zone, finding gaps throughout the first half for easy buckets.

Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) was perfect from the field, shooting 8 for 8 and finishing with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists. Kristen Huntress (Harrison, ME) connected on 4 of 7 threes to finish with 16 of her own. Brianna Mulherin (Wales, ME) played great off the bench with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Alex Bessey (Jay, ME) and Jordyn Reynolds (Poland, ME) each scored 8 points with Bessey recording 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Reynolds compiled 10 rebounds, 6 blocks, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Tate Dolley led Machias with an impressive 37 points and 9 rebounds.

The Mustangs forced 26 turnovers while only giving the ball away 7 times, and fished out 24 assists.

With the win CM improves to 23-3 overall and a perfect 16-0 in Yankee Conference play. They will enter the Yankee Conference tournament as the #1 seed for the third straight year and fifth time in the last seven seasons. Their quarterfinal match-up is pending on other conference results later today.
