Championship Weekend; CMCC set to host YSCC Tournament

Auburn, ME - This weekend the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) will crown their men's and women's basketball tournament champions. CMCC is hosting the tournament which kicks-off Saturday morning at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch in Auburn with the YSCC Awards Banquet. The conference will recognize 2nd Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Conference, Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Regular Season Champions for both men's and women's basketball.

Following the banquet, the action will begin at 2:00pm with the first women's basketball semifinal game, between #2 Southern Maine Community College and #3 UMaine-Machias. 

At 4:00pm, the host of the tournament and the #1 seed, CMCC Lady Mustangs will take on #4 NHTI. The winner of this game will advance to play the winner of the SMCC - Machias game in the championship game on Sunday.

The first men's semifinal game will start at 6:00pm, with the the #4 Mustangs of Central Maine hosting top-seeded NHTI.

The final game of the evening will feature #2 Southern Maine Community College and #3 Vermont Tech. 

Championship Sunday will begin with the women's title game at 12:00pm followed by the men's tilt at 2:30pm. The winner of the tournament earns an automatic bid to the USCAA DII National Tournament in Uniontown, PA scheduled to start on March 2nd.
