Auburn, ME - The Lady Mustangs were ready to go Thursday night when they hosted NHTI an a Yankee Small College Conference match-up. CM jumped out to a 21-10 first quarter lead and never looked back, blowing out the Lynx 113-65.

Playing with a limited lineup due to injuries, the Mustang first year players got a lot of minutes, and made the most of it. Six Lady Mustangs scored in double-figures, including 4 first year players. Leading the way was Alyssa Everett and Eliza Brault, both of who scored career highs of 17 points. Both first year players also pulled down 6 boards a piece. The next duo of first year players, Tatianna Saint-Louis and Shemilia Johnson, scored 14 points a piece, with Johnson pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds for the double-double. Captain's Natalie Thurber and Kristen Huntress also hit double-figures with Thurber connecting for 11 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals, while Huntress finished with 13 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals.

None of the returning players played more than 15-minutes.

The Mustangs shot 53% from the floor for the game and dished out 31 assists. Defensively, CM out-rebounded the Lynx by +34 and forced 28 turnovers.

Michaella Biron played great for the Lynx, hitting many tough shots to finish with a game-high 23 points.

With the win CM improves to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the YSCC. They will be back in action this Saturday, when they host Great Bay Community College in another YSCC match-up at 1:00pm.
