Norfolk, VA - The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has named junior captain, Kristen Huntress (Harrison, ME) the National Player of the Week for her efforts between Monday, November 25th, and Sunday, December 1st.
In the Mustangs only game during the week, against the 7th ranked (USCAA DI) Bryant & Stratton- Albany, Huntress hit 6 threes to finish with a career high 27 points. The junior guard and captain shot 61.5% from the floor and 54.5% from the three. She also recorded 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Most impressively, Huntress did this in just 16-minutes of action.
CM defeated Bryant & Stratton-Albany 86-60 to improve their record to 10-1.
Huntress and the rest of the Lady Mustangs will be back in action on Saturday, when they travel to New York to take on the Panthers of Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (1:00pm).
