Lady Mustangs sprint past CCRI and into holiday break

Warwick, RI - With just one game separating CM from their holiday break, they wasted no time jumping out to a lead on Saturday. Although CCRI scored the games first basket, the Mustangs out-scored the Knights 24-8 in the first quarter on their way to a 90-40 blowout win.

Fourteen different Mustangs scored throughout the game, with all sixteen seeing at least 5-minutes of play. Eliza Brault led the way again with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Alyssa Everett scored 12 points while pulling own 5 rebounds.

Tatianna Saint-Louis hit for 11 points, while Abby Nadeau connected for 10 point and 6 rebounds. Kylee Joyce and Chandler True scored 9 points each.

The relentless pressure of the Mustangs forced 35 turnovers, while the pace of the game caused the Knights to foul quite a bit. The Mustangs capitalized from the foul line, connecting on 18 of 24 attempts (75%).

With the win the Lady Mustangs end the first semester 14-1 overall and 8-1 in the Yankee Small College Conference. They are averaging 86.5 points, 20 assists, and 23 steals per game.
