Women's Basketball adds second 2020 commitment

Auburn, ME - Head Women's Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, is please to announce the commitment of Taylor White, a 5'10" senior forward from Leavitt Area High School. White is a 2-year captain for the Hornets and earned All-KVAC honors last season as a junior.

According to Coach Morong, "It is always exciting to get local players to join our program. Taylor has been taking early college classes with us for two years now, so we have been very familiar with her, and her entire family. In addition to playing a tough KVAC schedule throughout her career, she played a grueling schedule with the Blue Wave Elite AAU program this past spring and summer. Playing against that level of competition on a consistent basis, and being so well coached, is only going to help Taylor's transition into the college ranks. She is a very fundamentally-sound player with great footwork in and around the hoop, and the ability to stretch the defense with her range. She has great size and length, and as she buys into our off-season strength and conditioning program, she will become even more versatile."

White on her commitment, "I chose CMCC for a few reasons.  I have been taking classes at CMCC since my junior year and I enjoyed the experience I have had.  Also, it is always been a dream of mine to play college ball and CMCC seemed like the perfect fit. In my experience everyone on campus is extremely friendly, and the instructors are really there to help the individual.  I cannot wait to play college ball. It is something I have wanted to do since I was a little kid and to think that I have been given the chance to play is amazing.  I have gotten to know some of the girls on the team and cannot wait to get to know them more.  I have been homeschooled for my entire education and college life will be different, but I am very excited for the change."

White will study in the Physical Fitness Specialist program while at CM.
