Women’s Basketball defeats CCRI and rust in ugly win

Auburn, ME - For the first time in over a month, the Lady Mustangs took to the floor to continue their 2019-2020 campaign. Despite the 68-33 victory, There was plenty of rust, which seemed impossible for CM to fully shake off. 

Every Lady Mustang who entered the game committed at least 1 turnover, in the sloppiest game of the year. CM shot 35% from the floor, 15% from the 3-point line, and 53% from the charity stripe.

Pacing the Mustangs was Eliza Brault (Ossipee, NH) with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Natalie Thurber (Wells, ME) chipped in with 11 points and 6 steals, while Abby Nadeau (Wales, ME) recorded 10 points.

Makenzie Beaudry (Dover Foxcroft, ME) and Tatianna Saint-Louis (Riviera Beach, FL)  scored 7 points a piece and combined for 13 rebounds.

Jazlynn Jimenez led the Knights with 11 points.

With the win, the Lady Mustangs improve to 16-1 overall and have now won 13 straight games. They will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Randolph, VT to take on Vermont Tech at 1:00pm.
