Women's Basketball advances to YSCC Semifinals with rout of Great Bay

Portsmouth, NH - The top-seeded Mustangs traveled the 8th seeded Great Bay Community College Herons for the Yankee Conference Quarterfinals. Per the norm, the Mustangs depth and tempo was just too much for the out-matched Herons. CM led 33-5 after the first quarter, and 61-7 at the break before coasting in the second half to the 99-29 victory.

A quartet of Lady Mustangs scored in double-figures, led by Eliza Brault (Ossipee, NH) who tallied a game-high 25 points and 9 rebounds. Natalie Thurber (Wells, ME) hit five 3's and finished with 21 points and 4 steals, while Abby Nadeau (Wales, ME) was the third starter in double-figures with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists. Chandler True (Naples, ME) hit 3 triples of her own and finished with 13 points off the bench.

Rebecca Davila (El Paso, TX) dished out a game-high 9 assists, while Elena Tool (Tilburg, Netherlands) recorded 8 points and 9 rebounds.

Madison Lovely led the Herons with 13 points. 

The Mustangs out-rebounded Great Bay by +32 and dished out 29 assists on 38 made field goals.

With the win CM improves to 23-3 overall and advance to the YSCC Semifinals being held at Southern Maine Community College. They will take on the 5-seed UMaine Augusta on Saturday, February 29th.
