Saranac Lake, NY - In their first game in almost a month, a depleted CM squad rose to the occasion and cruised to a 74-19 win over SUNY Adirondack. Missing 7 players due to injury or COVID-19 protocols, there was plenty of playing time to go around for the 9 Mustangs who suited up.
Kali Thompson (Waterville, ME) dominated play at both ends of the floor. Thompson recorded a double-double with 16 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Harata Coleman (Tokomaru Bay, New Zealand), Leata Te Nana-Williams (Auckland, New Zealand), and Luna Love (Zwolle, The Netherlands) all connected for 3 triples a piece. Coleman finished with 15 points, Te Nana-Williams added 11, while Love had 9. Destiny Mora Lopez (The Dalles, OR) just missed a double-double, finishing with 8 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks.
The level of competition goes to a whole new level tomorrow. The Mustangs will take on the host school, North Country CC, who boasts a #8 national ranking in the NJCAA. The championship game of the North Country Invitational is scheduled to tip-off at 2:00pm.
With the win today, the Mustangs improve to 12-2 overall.
