Mustangs slay Knights behind Mora Lopez's double-double

Randolph, VT - For the second day in a row the Mustangs got off to a hot start, this time cruising to a 90-14 victory over Vermont Tech. Playing with a limited roster of only 8 players, the Mustangs played with tremendous discipline on both sides of the ball.

Destiny Mora-Lopez (The Dalles, OR) led the way with career highs in points and rebounds. She finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. Kierstyn Lyons (Mexico, ME) also netted a career-high, finishing with 15 points, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Ja'Naia Moran (Boynton Beach, FL) was also in double figures with 13 points and 4 steals, while Harata Coleman (Auckland, NZ) scored 10.

Myah Nicolas (Lewiston, ME) scored in double figures for the second straight game. She connected for 11 points, while dishing out a career-high 7 assists. Eliza Brault (Ossipee, NH) barely missed a double-double, finishing with 8 points and 12 rebounds.

With the win the Mustangs improve to 14-2 on the year. They will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Herons of Great Bay Community College at 6:00pm. Spectators are allowed at the game!
