Mustangs kick off road trip with rout

Springfield, MA - After an ugly first quarter CM found their groove routing the Springfield Tech Rams, 86-44. The short-handed Mustangs were powered by 6 players in double figures including all 5 starters, two of which recorded double-doubles.

Leading the charge was Emily Strachan with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 7 steals, and 3 assists. Destiny Mora Lopez and Sarah Poli both earned double-doubles, each scoring 12 points. Mora Lopez pulled down 16 boards while Poli grabbed 13. Luna Love and Leata Te Nana-Williams hit three 3's a piece, each finishing with 11 points. Safena Te Nana-Williams finished with 10 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The Mustangs dished out 25 assists and hauled in a dominant 25 offensive rebounds.

With the win CM improves to 17-2 overall, and is back in action Saturday at 2pm at Albany College of Pharmacy.
