Lady Mustangs Drop Road Game to Unity

Unity, ME - The Mustangs, coming off their season opening loss at home to Machias hit the road for Unity College with a depleted squad, taking only ten players on the road trip.   Starting the game with one less player and no substitutes against a full Unity squad of 21 players, Central Maine was at a disadvantage from the start.   It only took Unity a few minutes to get on the scoreboard against the outnumbered Mustangs and the one-sided contest went into the half at 6-0 Unity.

The second half saw a Mustang squad sometimes playing short-handed by two and three players to allow for some substitutions against a Unity team that continued to play their full 11 players.   Three more Unity goals in the second half ended the game at 9-0.   Elizabeth Cormier (Lewiston, ME)  faced 53 total shots making 38 saves on 47 shots on goal.
