Yankee Conference Soccer Awards Announced

Concord, NH - Members of both the Men's and Women's Soccer teams were recognized the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) for their ounstanding play this fall. All-Conference members are voted on by opposing coaches.

From the men's squad, Cody Dolloff (Peru, ME) was the lone all-conference selection for the 2nd seed in the YSCC Conference Tournament. The junior started all 10 games for the Mustangs, who finished with their best YSCC regular season ranking in years.

On the women's side, Samatha Belardo (Russell, MA) and Keara Hunter (Wiscasset, ME) were both recongized. Belardo played in 9 games this year tallying 9 goals and 3 assists. She had mroe than double the amount of shots on goal (34) than anyone else on the team. Three of her goals were game winners. Hunter, a stellar defensive player, anchored the Mustangs defensive unit this year which dropped their goals against average (GAA) from 2.62 in 2017 to 2.33 this season.

According to Head Women's Soccer Coach, Rob Rodriguez, "It is nice to see Keara recognized, she's been running our defense as center back for the last two years and we have been a very good defensive team. Sam came in third in the all-conference voting which is a huge accomplishment when you consider the quality of players on that list. She tied our single season scoring record, set last year by Megan Duval, with 9 goals and 21 total points and she did that despite missing two games."
