Auburn, ME - The University of Maine at Machias Clippers came into Auburn for a non-conference matchup looking to sweep the Mustangs in the season series and they accomplished exactly that.   Central Maine came out very flat and within the first three minutes found themselves down 1-0 on an Amber Chasse goal in the fourth minute of the game.   Chasse would get another one five minutes later and secure the hat trick a couple of minutes after that.   Faced with a 3-0 deficit at the ten minute mark the Mustangs began to adjust to the pace and started to increase their time of possession but their shots simply could not find their way into the Clipper net.   With the Central Maine defense tightening up and the Mustang offense still sputtering, there would be no scoring for the remainder of the half which ended at 3-0.  One more goal by Chasse in the second half would complete the scoring and give the Clippers the 4-0 shutout and season series sweep.
