South Portland, ME - The Mustangs traveled down the turnpike to South Portland to take on the Southern Maine Community College Seawolves in a non-conference matchup and their final regular season game. Although the Seawolves outshot Central Maine in both halves, the first half was an evenly played match up and down the field with Central Maine mounting more of an attack than they have in their previous outings with their southern rivals.

The half ended at 0-0 and the Mustangs felt their quality of play against the Seawolves was higher than it was in their previous meeting at the beginning of the season.

The second half saw Southern Maine control the play to a much greater extent than in the first half but the score remained knotted at 0-0 until about halfway through the second half when a Ryleigh Lord goal put the Seawolves up 1-0. The score would remain that way until two minutes left in the game when Southern Maine put in two quick goals by Callie O'Brien and Jordan Ott to seal the 3-0 win for the Seawolves.

Ali Sult (Lisbon, ME) turned in a 21 save performance for Central Maine.

The Mustangs return home for their first-ever home playoff game in a YSCC preliminary round matchup against Vermont Technical College on Sunday October 20 at 1pm on the Mustang Turf.
