Fighting Saints corral Mustangs in double match

Auburn, ME - In its first season of existence, the women's volleyball team has struggled with consistency and the ability to compete, but Thursday night things started to change.  A competitive fire helped the Mustangs pick up their first set win of the season, and saw increased consistency throughout their 2 matched with the College of St. Joseph's (VT).

Delaney Rossignol (Caswell, ME) led the way for the Mustangs with 9 kills in the 1st match, followed by 14 in the 2nd.  Lydia Fisher (Surry, NH) helped defend the net against the hard-hitting Fighting Saints, coming away with 7 blocks and 3 block assists.

The Mustangs are back in action this weekend when the travel to Unity College on Saturday for matches against the host school as well as Paul Smith's College (NY).  The final home match of the year will be this Sunday at 10:00am vs. Paul Smith's College.
