Cross Country competes at Bowdoin

Brunswick, ME – The Mustangs were out and about racing all around Bowdoin's campus on Saturday at the 2017 Bowdoin X-C Invitational.  Things were humid and fast-paced, however the Mustangs held their own individually on this fast paced course.  The CM Mustangs men's and women's cross-country teams still do not have enough members to place as a team; however, each runner can respectively place individually.  CM teammates battled amongst themselves to compete for the first place Tank Top, given to the top athlete on each team during the race.

Osman Doorow ran a very competitive race on the 8-kilometer course, finishing in 29th place with a time of 28:32, coming in first for the Men's CM team. Troy Peterson finished in 92nd and Kyle Laroche came in 98th place.

The Mustang Women's team was led by Kim Plummer who came in 115th place with a time of 33:03 and Kayla Thayer came in shortly after in 136th place.

"This was a great experience for the Mustangs to check out the course for the first time as we are gearing up to compete at Bowdoin again on September 30th.  Our focus in the coming weeks will continue to be on our endurance and proper pacing throughout a race."  - Head Coach, Kevin Mitchell

The Mustangs will be competing at the Mariner's Invitational this Saturday, September 23 in Belfast, ME.  The women's team will compete at 11AM and the men will compete at 12 noon.
