CM’s Cordtsen takes top 10 at UMA Cross Country Invitational

Augusta, ME - The Central Maine Community College Cross Country team competed in the UMaine-Augusta Invitational, hosted by UMA on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Central Maine's men competed against runners from the University of Maine at Augusta, Thomas College, Unity & Colby College. CM Freshmen, Shay Cordtsen (Monmouth, ME) ran a very strong race, finishing in the top 10 overall with a time of 21:07 on a very challenging 5-kilometer course. CM's Levi Buck (Buckfield, ME) challenged runners to the finish line and took 13th overall, just a few runners back from Shay with a time of 23:42. CM's Brandon Powell (Auburn, ME) ran a tough race, finishing in 18th place with a time of 25:09 followed by teammates Dave Hendrickson (Caribbean) with a time of 30:35 and Brink Beaulieu (Lewiston, ME)  with a time of 35:35. 

What's Next:

CM will be prepping all week, getting ready for the Maine State X-C Invitational Meet to be held at Bowdoin College on Saturday, September 29, 2018.  The Women's 6K will begin at 1:30PM and the Men will run at 2:30PM. CM will be running against Bowdoin, Bates, Colby, USM, Husson College, Maine Maritime, UMaine Augusta, UMaine Farmington, Maine Presque Isle, Unity, St. Joseph's College, Thomas College, Babson, Brandeis University, Colby-Sawyer College, Connecticut College, Endicott College, Gordon College, Nichols College, Suffolk University and Tufts University
