Mustangs compete against top schools at the Maine State Cross Country Meet

Waterville, ME - The Mustangs participated in the Maine State Cross Country Meet on Quarry Road in Waterville on Saturday, October 5. CMCC runners fought hard on one of the toughest courses of the season (so far!) with lots of hills and challenging terrain. It was gorgeous running weather on the beautiful 8-kilometer course. The Mustangs had some tough competition, competing against many colleges in the NESCAC conference such as Bates, Bowdoin and Colby along with many other Division III schools. The Mustangs ran without two of their runners due to injury; however were able to still outrun three YSCC schools; the University of Maine at Augusta, Unity College and the University of Maine at Machias.

Over 160 runners competed in the Men's Maine State Cross Country Race with some of the country's top teams.  The Mustangs look forward to their upcoming race at the Monks Invitationals at St. Joseph's College on Saturday, October 12 at 12:00PM.
