Coach Haggerty was born and raised in Rhode Island, and moved to Maine in 1996. She has been the Head Coach of Lisbon Falls Christian Academy’s Cross Country team for several years. The high school boys won their league’s championship for the last 2 years, and the girl’s high school team won for the first time last year. In the winter of 2012-13 she was an assistant coach for the indoor track team at Edward Little High School where she made lasting relationships with other coaches and student athletes. Two of the graduated runners now assist her during summer training for her high school team.

Coach Haggerty acquired the Track & Field Technical Coaching Certification through the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and also the Coaching Principles Certification through the American Sports Education Program. She was recently offered the position of Head Coach for the fledgling Cross Country team here at Central Maine Community College, and she is excited about the challenge of growing the team into a committed group of successful runners! Coach Haggerty is passionate about encouraging students in all areas of their lives while teaching the different aspects of Cross Country running so that they will see improvement in their fitness, speed and endurance.

Coach Haggerty resides in Lisbon with her husband, Tim, sons Matthew (age 19 and in college) and Jacob age 16 and daughter Sarah age 11. She is the owner and designated broker of Haggerty Realty where she assists buyers and sellers with their real estate needs. They just recently celebrated their 10 year business anniversary!
