Huskies Host HVIAC/YSCC Challenge

POTTERSVILLE, NY - - The Huskies hosted the HVIAC/YSCC Challenge with the Central Maine Mustangs, Southern Maine Seawolves, and the SUNY ESF Mighty Oaks. The Huskies played the Mustangs on Friday night and the Seawolves on Saturday as part of the Challenge. The Mighty Oaks will host the Huskies in a conference game scheduled for January 14^th. On Friday, the Mustangs ran with a ton of horsepower and scored early and often. Mustangs Wyatt Hathaway went 7/9 from the 3-point line in the first half with 21 points to help the Mustangs to a 66-36 halftime lead. The Huskies made some noise in the second half with Quentin Lackey and Joseph Mathews leading the scoring with 18 points each and Travis Shearin scoring 17 points. The Mustangs would defeat the Huskies 111-85.

On Saturday, the Huskies faced off against the Seawolves and the Huskies jumped the Seawolves early with scoring forcing the Seawolves to make adjustments early. T.J. Gibson had a great game with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals to help the Huskies stick with the Seawolves, but the Seawolves won the dogfight with an 82-71 victory over the Huskies.
