Pottersville, NY – The Huskies lost to the undefeated Mustangs from Central Maine Community College on Saturday. The Mustangs started the game with an aggressive defense and built a sizeable lead in the first quarter. The Huskies battled back and got the lead down to 10 with a remarkable 3-point shot at the buzzer by Ariana Phillips to end the first quarter. However, the Mustangs were too much for the Huskies to handle.
Ariana Phillips led the Huskies in scoring with 11 points. Clementine Danehy continued to give the Huskies a solid performance with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Ella Lavigne and Ava Smith led the Mustangs with 23 points apiece. During the second quarter, Ella Lavigne finished a layup and scored her 1,000th point, which led to a brief break in the game to recognize her impressive accomplishment.
