Machias, ME – On the road for the second time in two days, the Mustangs could never get organized and fell to the University of Maine Machias Owls 83-62. CM never had the lead and trailed by five to ten points most of the first half. Poor shooting and the inability to contain Owl sharpshooters broke the Mustangs back.
Machias went on a run to open up the second half adding to their 8-point half time lead—stretching the lead to fourteen points. Back to back baskets by James Bosnakis brought the lead to five points at the thirteen-minute mark, but miscues and turnovers by Mustangs ended any hope of victory.
The highlight of the game was the play of James Bosnakis. He finished with 12 points in only 14 minutes of playing time and was an influence on the defensive end.
The loss drops the Mustangs to 15-7 and 10-3 in conference.
