Men's Soccer blanks Hampshire

Auburn, ME - CM hosted Hampshire College on a rainy Saturday afternoon. It was Asad Abukar who provided Danilo Guthro with a nice pass to put the Mustangs on top seventeen minutes in to the match. In the 36th minute Peter Vigna found the back of the net after Garrett Addison made a nice pass. Just 56 seconds later Addison was rewarded as Abukar earned his second assist of the day with a through ball which allowed Addison to score on a one-on-one with the Hampshire goalkeeper. The score was 3-0 in favor of CMCC at the half.

Guthro opened up the scoring in the second half finishing a pass from co-captain Joel Masikini. Masikini scored the next two goals with one of those assists coming from another co-captain, Sam Walker. Issac Austin got in on the action when he scored on an outside pass from teammate Roland Mattsen. Finally, in the closing minutes, Paul Vigna scored on a good individual effort when he followed his own shot and finished the rebound.

CMCC goalkeeper Austin Wing had two saves while Hampshire College's Felix Hunt had thirteen. The CMCC men host Northern Essex Community College on Sunday at 11:00am in a non-conference match.
