Lady Mustangs dominant in win over UMA

Auburn, ME - It was all CM, all night, as the Lady Mustangs put up at least 21 points in each quarter, routing UMaine-Augusta 99-41. The relentless pressure and tempo of the Mustangs held UMA to just 12 made field goals for the entire game, forcing 47 turnovers. 

Alex Bessey (Jay, ME) scored 19 first half points, finishing with 21, to lead all scorers. Brooke Reynolds (Poland, ME) played just 20-minutes but racked up 15 points, 9 steals, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Rebecca Davila (El Paso, TX) netted 12 points, while Jordyn Reynolds (Poland, ME) finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Overall, 12 of the 13 CM players scored at least 3 points, with 12 of them collecting the 31 steals. Brianna Mulherin (Wales, ME) provided a spark to start the second half, helping fire up the Mustangs to go on 24-6 run in the 3rd quarter. Elena Tool (Tilburg, Netherlands) once again played great off the bench, scoring 8 points.

Sidney Moore led the Moose with 13 points.

CM used their size advantage to out-rebound UMA by +22, only giving up 1 offensive rebounds, while collecting 21 of their own. They also out-scored UMA in the paint, 70-6.

With the win, the Lady Mustangs improve to 17-2 overall and 11-0 in the Yankee Conference. They will be back in action tomorrow night when they host Unity College at 6pm.
