Women's Basketball wins big over GBCC

Portsmouth, NH - Playing the Herons of Great Bay Community College for the second time in five days, the Lady Mustangs once again found themselves with limited line-up. And once again, the Mustangs dominated for 40-minutes. All 12 players that suited up for CM played at least 13-minutes, with 11 of them finding the scoring column. 

Leading the way was first year, Alyssa Everett (Norridgewock, ME), who finished with a game-high 16 points on 8 of 11 shooting (72.7%). Fellow first year standouts, Eliza Brault (Ossipee, NH) and Shemilia Johnson (Newport News, VA) finished with 15 and 13 points respectively.  Kristen Huntress (Harrison, ME) shot 4 for 5 from the field while hitting a pair of 3's to finish with 10 points.

Also filling up the stat sheet was Kasie Maloney (Concord, NH) who finished with 8 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists. Natalie Thurber (Wells, ME) and Chandler True (Naples, ME) both scored 9 points, with Thurber pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with 6 steals.

In her first collegiate game, Abby Ferland (Monmouth, ME) finished with 4 points, 6 steals, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in 13 minutes of action.

Madison Lovely led the Herons with 8 points and 13 rebounds.

With the win, CM improves to 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the Yankee Small College Conference. They will be back in action on Sunday (1:00pm) when they host the Bobcats of Paul Smith's College in another YSCC match-up.
