Amherst, MA - The Mustangs traveled to Hampshire College Saturday, September 15th. CM came out ready to score goals. Freshman, Joel Masikini (Johannesburg, South Africa) started the Mustangs offense off in minute 18 by firing a laser from distance after receiving a pass from junior, Cody Dollof (Peru, ME) and catching the Hampshire keeper off guard and netting CMCC's first goal. In the 24th minute freshman, Alinoor Deqow (Lewiston, ME) collected a stray ball in the box and converted that into Central Maine's second goal.

The Mustangs weren't done there though. In the second half Jordi Valls (Guatemala City, Guatemala) kicked it into gear, netting two fantastic goals in the 59th minute assisted by Brain Mendez (New Haven, CT) and in the 68th minute assisted by Moulid Hussein (Lewiston, ME). Finally CM's Kenneth Ball (Lewiston, ME) received a beautiful pass from a tenacious junior, Sam Storer (Wiscasset, ME) and blew by the defenders and found the back of the net to bring the Mustangs total on the day to be 5-0.

Head Men's Soccer Coach, Bryan Wallace commented, "We saw a lot of great stuff, we worked on a lot the past two practices and the guys implemented it today."

CM plays Sunday, September 16th against Paul Smiths in their first home game of the season. Kick off is scheduled for 1:00pm.
