Women's Soccer ties SMCC

It was a tale of two halves. SMCC dominated the first half of play, possessing the ball and getting good looks time and time again. The Lady Mustangs did just enough to weather the Seawolves 1st half flurry to sneak away with a 0-0 1st half tie. Feeling fairly lucky, CM attacked early and often in the 2nd half, but a strong SMCC counter lead to the game's first goal, by SMCC striker, Casey Garrapy.

The goal only seemed to ignite the Lady Mustangs, as they continued to pour on pressure and possess the ball in SMCC's half. Finally, CM freshman, Corrina Kinder finished a cross from Kim Migliara to tie the game 1-1 with only 16:17 remaining. With just 2-minutes left to go in the game Kinder took another cross, this time off a corner kick from Migliara, and headed the ball off the far post.

SMCC poured on the pressure in both OT's but could not get a clean look, and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Previously, CM lost to SMCC 6-1 earlier in the season.

This concludes the season for the Lady Mustangs who finish with a 4-5-1 record - the best in the programs 3-year history.
