Biddeford, ME - The Mustangs fell behind early, but came to life just in time. Entering the 5th inning, the Mustangs trailed UNE Club, 4-1. Kenyon Pillsbury's two run single in the top of the 5th tied the game at 4.
The Mustangs took the lead in the top of the 7th as Reid Cote led off the inning reaching on a error. Later in the inning, pinch runner Brett Hunt scored on a throwing error that proved to be the game winner. Dennis Amore then scored on a wild pitch giving the Mustangs a two tun lead. Pillsbury then laid down a squeeze bunt to plate Will Bean giving the Mustangs a three run cushion
Cole Brown, Pete McCluskey and Caleb Valliere shared the pitching duties with Valliere picking up the win.
The Mustangs improve to 3-0 in NECBA play and 8-3 overall. They travel to Lawrence, MA on Saturday to take on Conn. College Club and Babson Club.
According to Head Baseball Coach, Ryan Palmer, "We started off slow but kicked it into gear mid way through the game. It was nice to get a come from behind win while playing in a hostile environment. We hope that gives us confidence and momentum going into the weekend."
