Mustangs & Sealwolves Tie After 2OT

Central Maine Community College and Southern Maine Community College played 110 minutes Sunday afternoon but neither team could prove their superiority. The Seawolves caught the Mustangs off guard early when Sean Jackson stole a ball and scored just 1:15 into the match. The Mustang's held their ground and the score at the half was still 1-0.

CMCC kept applying pressure and with 8:27 remaining Juan Reyes (Caguas, PR) headed a corner kick from Alex Lyons (Rochester, NH) through the legs of teammate Robbie Pallozzi (Windham, ME) on the post to even the score.

Two overtimes saw opportunities for both teams but the match ended a tie. CMCC goalkeeper Dustin Sullivan (Richmond, ME) collected thirteen saves while Spencer Hoyt had ten for SMCC. Freshmen Max Moreau (Livermore Falls, ME) and Steven Andreotti (Brunswick, ME) stepped in and played for the Mustangs. The Mustangs finish their season out by travelling to the University of Maine Machias on Saturday, October 11.
