YSCC All-Conference awards announced

Concord, NH - A total of five Mustangs were honored by the conference on Saturday. As voted by the coaches, three members from the men's soccer team, and two from the women's soccer team were honored.

From the men's team, Abdibaari Hersi (Mogadishu, Somalia), Abdilahi Abdi (Lewiston, ME), and Suad Nur (Mogadishu, Somalia) were all recognized. The men's team earned the 2nd overall seed in the tournament, and have not lost a game since a 1-0 defeat to #1 seed, Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, back on September 18th. The Mustangs have advanced to the YSCC Championship Game for the second year in a row.

As expected, reigning USCAA All-American, Samantha Belardo (Russell, MA), was selected, as was first-year standout goalkeeper, Emma Johnson (Monmouth, ME). The Mustangs won their last three regular season games, including their first ever victory over Southern Maine Community College. This earned them the #4 seed in the YSCC Tournament, where they fell 1-0 to the #5 Seawolves.
